Player's
show career although limited has been very successful. He is a multiple group winning and placing boy. On his way to adulthood he went Best in Sweepstakes at the Pacific Rim Golden Retriever Specialty under breeder judge Mr. Jon Chase as well as a Best in Sweepstakes (all breed) at Lower Mainland Dog Fanciers of B.C. Upon obtaining his Canadian Championship the next day, as a move up he went Group 1 over many of Canada's top sporting dogs.


At just 21 months he won Group 2 at Lower Mainland Dog Fanciers, Canada's largest dog show over Canada's top 3 Goldens and top sporting dogs in the country.

Player finished his American Championship in 7 short weeks, winning the Breed from the classes over many of the countries top Specials and Best of Winners at the Dallas Fort Worth Golden Retriever Club Specialty under breeder judge Denise Reel.

Player is a medium golden with lighter feathering and carries good coat. He has an excellent front end assembly with wonderful forechest and shoulder angle. He has good rear angulation and is very clean coming and going with a very strong topline and good depth of body. Player has a spectacular sidegait with lots of reach and drive. He has black pigment on the nose and around the eyes.


He has a wonderful temperament and is very easy going. He is a wonderful house dog and prefers to be lounging in your lap. His temperament truly is "Golden".



Player's kids:

Am Can Ch Sunburst Classical Player CGC TD. At just 6 months old and the youngest in the class, Tully placed 2nd at the Canadian National and at just 9 months old won his class at the Golden Retriever Club of America's National Specialty in 2001. Tully finished his Canadian Championship in the first 5 shows of the Island Circuit in August 2002 with 3 Best of Winners for 15 points. Tully is now an American Champion winning an Award of Merit at the Evergreen Specialty in 2005 under breeder judge Mr. Jon Chase.

Can Ch Fyreglo's Against the Wind another Player son won his junior puppy sweepstakes class at the 2002 Canadian National under breeder judge Marjorie Moore. Seager finished his Canadian Championship from the puppy classes in September 2002.

Can Ch Carmegold's the Game (aka Hanna) finished her Canadian Championship easily. Her first weekend out as a Special she won a Judge's Award of Merit at the Canadian National in 2004 and her first time in the US won her class at the US National the same year.

First time out as a puppy and the only show he was in, Dealer went BOW under judge Ms. Virginia Lyne. He needs only 3 points to finish. We are just waiting for him to come back into coat.
