Introduction

I began showing dogs in 1989, starting out in junior handling as a “PeeWee”; some years later breeding Golden Retrievers and Pugs with my mother under the Corum prefix. We have produced champions in both Canada and the US.

I have “freelance” assisted many handlers including Ellen Cottingham, Bruce and Gretchen Schultz, Heidi Gervais and others. I thank them for the opportunities they have given me and their assistance in learning grooming techniques for various breeds including Golden Retrievers, Springer Spaniels, Bullmastiffs, English and Irish Setters and PBGV’s to name a few.

In 2002 I was given a wonderful opportunity to “special” a dog in Canada, BIS Can Am Ch Laureate Gracious King Lear, who was one of Canada’s top goldens for the year. In addition, I finished championships on ten dogs in 2002 as well as pointing several others.

In 2003 I specialled both a Golden Am Can Ch Corum's Double or Nothing SDHA (aka Player) and a Pug, BISS Am Can Ch Moonstruck's Blue Suedeshoes(aka Elvis). Player is one of Canada's top 5 Goldens and attained his Show Dog Hall of Fame. Elvis not only turned 1 this year but finished his Canadian and American Championships and is Canada's #2 pug as well. In 2004 with limited showing a Pug he was #2 Pug in Canada. In 2005 Golden Retriever, Am Can Ch Karagold Let's Be Happy was the #1 Golden Retriever in Canada as well as a top sporting dog and Pugs, Am Can Ch Moonstruck's Blue Suedeshoes HIC and Am Can Ch Sugarbear's Out of the Blue both were top 5 pugs in Canada.

In 2006 BIS Am Can Ch Sugarbear's Flamingstar O'Harada was the number 1 pug in Canada and went on to win the breed and a Group 3 at Westminster in Feburary 2007. What a thrill this was for both myself, the breeder and the owners.

Between 2003 and 2006 I finished more than 50 Canadian Championships as well as pointing many others. I also finished many American Champions and pointed several others including majors

In February 2007 I attended the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in New York. There I won the breed in pugs and a Group 3 with BIS BISS Am Can Ch Sugarbear Flamingstar O'Harada. It was a very tough breed ring with the Number 2 Toy and top 3 pugs in the US, the group was very tough with top US winners.

I live on acreage in South Langley that is fully fenced with secure runs and exercise areas.
